Initiative et Developpement Citoyen is a non-profite company base in a small village in the south of France. Its main activities include an ecologic campsite, open to tourists from June to September, environmental education activities, organic gardening, international youth mobility activities such as youth exchanges and European Voluntary Service, workcamps, green building, events for local community and much more. It is lying in a very rural area with little connections to closest city (Carcassonne), 18km away from the campsite.

There are four different profiles a Spanish volunteer can choose from:
1.  International mobility;
2. Eco tourism
3. Communication

1. The first profile includes organising youth exchanges, promoting EVS and youth exchanges, feeding blog and website with opportunities, contents, help organising dissemination or promotional activities to spread out information amongst youth, logistic preparation and organization for the events etc.

3. The second profile includes helping delivering useful information to tourists, helping with daily tasks at the camping (maintenance, cleaning, reception, etc.), organising events for local community, updating blog and website, etc.

4.The last profile includes managing websites and blogs, creating new websites, logos, brochures, contents creation, designing gadgets/merchandising, taking pictures, filming, editing, follow communication project such VolunTube last year etc.

In each position the volunteer is working together with the responsible person for the chosen field. Common tasks such as toilet and shower cleaning, cooking, washing dishes and shopping are shared on a rota system amongst all volunteers. Here you can check the Blog of the campsite to get some ideas of what past volunteers has been doing.
