Project description
The volunteer will work supporting the professional workers in social animation and environmental education fields.
He/she will be involved in two main projects for children, teenagers and families.
In “Parco Ludico“, during the whole period of European Voluntary Service the volunteer will have tasks mainly on week-ends. He/she will support our team by organizing events, taking care of the place, supporting and promote the events, building relationships with young people from the local community. Furthermore he/she will involved in proposing, organizing and managing workshops or events, participating in team meeting in order to plan the activities at Parco Ludico.
In “Crazy-bosco” during the whole period of Europan Voluntary Service. The activities will be in particular during week-ends of June and July. Therefore, the volunteer will support Sunday events with children and families. Apart from that he/she will participate in residential summer camps with teenagers and families; support workers on manual activities (sometimes hard activities) for instance, help building up the residencial summer camp in the woods, storing and upkeeping.
The travel costs will be reimbursed up to a certain amount allocated by the European Commission. Accommodation and food are provided by the host organization. The volunteer will live in a studio flat in Galbiate, a small village on the hill next to Parco Ludico. It has all facilities but due to be a bit far from the main cities it has just few public transports. Our organization will provide all non perishable food. The volunteer will have also a food allowance to buy soft goods. This allowance may change during residential summer camps, when volunteers will always eat with us at the camp. In addition, the volunteer will also receive a pocket money monthly.
Requirements for this European Voluntary Service position are:
- Minimum 22 years old,
- Strong motivations, inclination towards change, research and creation of a new world made of harmony among people and between people and environment,
- Strong aptitude for putting oneself at stake and desire for learning,
- Willingness to work and live as a team,
- Desire of professional growth in the fields of environment and youth working,
- Desire of sharing his/her previous competences in the fields of environment and interculture
- Inclination towards building relationships with people.
